Took the Mardi Gras holiday as an opportunity to go the the most desolate part of the continental US - the Big Bend of Texas - to renew myself psychically and physically and spiritually and to re-connect with the Mexican side of the family. All successfully accomplished. Very satisfying, lots of fun. I am a creature of the desert. I often wonder what I am doing in the semi-tropics of Louisiana. A few typical pics. google.com Was out of touch with mod cons. But heard at a gas station a about the Japanese quake. My god, how horrible. Saw more detailed television today. Getting caught up on things. A good lesson in never, ever taking anything for granted.
