just what scientists report Yeah aware of that but lots of mixing took place in diaspora.. so dilution... I mean... of course roots remain.... I would be great dilution example.. or start my own ethnic group :O)

pronunciation basically fujian province I have a long way to go before I could tell that.. I easily identify Mandarin from Cantonese here and even Taiwanese Mandarin speakers.. but that's different.. (easy) I'm gonna practice on the growing # of Hakka here but the current large wave is moistly from India it seems.. so a niche I suppose also..

We have new Chinese relatives by marriage within last few years.. from Mauritius but they speak no Chinese really.. just French and some English.. Dunno what part of China they originated from..
