Truff, regarding those 2 MM in the first hour trading days . . .

Truff,

Those days are gone. The float is much, much smaller than it has been in a long time. The institutional holdings are up (we'll get new reports next week).

Actually, let me rephrase that. After December 22, we'll have twice as many shares out there. Oops. Well, at least that'll mean institutions hold twice as much.

Actually, I do see some negative to the split. It will be cheaper for the shorts to grab. They have much bigger cojones when they don't have to lay out as much dinero.

On another note, not to give you any advice (since you're a much bigger player than am I), but depending on how much stock you own vis a vis your options, I would seriously consider selling your stock into any rally so to preserve the value of your November calls. As you know, the price can be very manipulated near the options expiration date. At worst, you'll be able to exercise your options to have those shares back in your portfolio.

BTW, I used to have option portfolios on the magnitude of yours. However, I took a very big hit chasing JNJ down (while it was going up). So, now, I am content making back a little at a time. Such is the life of an obsessive compulsive.

The last 3 options expirations, I have doubled my investment in Iomega options.

I plan on doing it this time too. Hope you do too.
