The default is already obvious and inevitable... printing only aggravates it, no? The 2008 crash isn't over, it's only covered up with printing...

To those holding worthless U.S. paper, printing IS a default and future credit will be very very had to come by without usurious interest rates or collateral. The Govt is going to confiscate the people's wealth one way or another because they are broke, busted...done with no credit and no more empire to play with as some kind of "Great Game". We can speculate on what they will take but it's usually a big pot of money they have been coveting for years. Retirement Savings Accounts comes to mind. They'll say, we need to put all that money under our control and divy up how it is paid out...to those i need to make sure nobody loses everything...yeah right. Next thing you know all the money will be replaced by IOUs just like Social Security.
