It sounds like it is on Ocean Bl. from the press release. I'll stop by this weekend and check it out...

The new location is at the corner of Ocean and Colorado. It is a very spacious location, much larger than Beverly Hills. The outdoor seating is much larger, and has an incredible view of the ocean and Santa Monica Pier. At 1pm on Sunday, the wait was very short for outside seating and the inside was mostly empty. The employess were very friendly and enthusiastic, unlike the Beverly Hills location. The food was good, even better than last time I think. My opinion has gone up quite a bit after this visit. I expect this location will do much better in the summer months because more people go to the pier then. I don;t think many people know it it open. The restaurants on 3rd Street were packed, but so was the entire Promenade. Il Fornaio did not seem to get much traffic from those shoppers. I still think it is a great location, and the rent is probably lower and the view is incredible. I am more impressed now than I was the first time I visited Il Fornaio.
