Cary, RE: I presented a Merril Lynch 5 year DUV forecast which I pulled from a Nikon report. It was trashed by most of the CYMI supporters, but I didn't think the numbers they wanted to use came from more reputable sources. The ML numbers you posted had the following number of DUV steppers shipping '98 to '02: 488, 570, 531, 795, 951 Could you restate why you believe these numbers to be accurate, because they do not jibe with the many press releases coming out of stepper manufacturers and semi-manufcturers, and the economic imperatives of making chips. Merril Lynch may be under the impression that the move to DUV and sub-0.25&#181 geometries is discretionary, while in fact it is a matter of survival for semi-manufacturers. If you also believe it is discretionary, please share your thoughts. Bob
