I'd say the same thing with the exception of a few people I know in the music biz. I used to smoke pot in college and a little after but it was pretty minor. I've never been a big drinker in my adult life - I'm a cheap date.

The worst experience I've had was when I was diagnosed with chrons in late 2000. My intestines hurt really bad (daily) and I was sick (like the flu) every day. I was given scripts of vicodin to get rid of the pain and relieve the daily flu symptoms. That went on for about 1 1/2 years and my chrons went into a remission type state.

At that point I was dependent which in reality is addicted but we stepped down over the course of 4 weeks and things went fine. It wasn't a big secret - I've always been pretty transparent about that kind of stuff because it wasn't abused. It was used and both the Doc and I knew what the endgame was. Thankfully the chrons went into remission because I was REALLY sick. When I met you guys out in Vegas I don't think anyone realized how sick I was.

I'm probably healthier now than I've been in 7 out of the last 10 years.
