"gutless bears", or smart to stay with the tape?

I am long in three stocks - only three now that I've sold the less volatiles to keep from losses in the most volatile. All three, which are purportedly broken stocks, can move down independent of the market, today showed the same shallow bottom then rise to climactic close.

It wasn't me that said this - I heard it from a radio guru - the 1/2 trace point of the 7000-7700 rally was retraced, tested, and we bottomed. The formation looks "nice". We need that "wall of worry" for the market to climb.

In short, technically, time to cover. Where is the SOX index, above 285 again? This was a critical level and if we closed above it, etc...
