Seattle is getting its second streetcar line this year. Unfortunately, Seattle badly trails Portland on all things related to mass transit.

Somedays, just somedays, people will learn how to live without
a car, with smaller car, with less car (1 or 2 per family),
providing they choose to live like that.

Also, it is the most effective polution reduction policy:
higher gas price.

The money save is enormous and tax free, again providing if
the option is presented.
