Excellent post! TX is one of the states wingers are so proud of. Its growing fast.....and big and brash......and no frigging taxes. Forget that it has the biggest or one of biggest budget deficits in the country. Amidst all the hoopla recently, I read this analysis of the state.......I think I posted it here. Yeah, the state's growing......its growing the lesser skilled, more poorly educated portion of the population while the educated leave the state for other parts of the country. So here you have this state.........it isn't paying its own way nationally......its another red state carried by the blues; with low taxes, you know the infrastructure is falling apart; a miserable climate; has to poach industry from other states because it can't grow its own except in liberal Austin; as the second most populous state in the Union, its fool legislature meets once every two years whether it needs to or not; it has an idiot for a governor and the people who could help it think its way out of its problems are leaving the state in droves. Now if this isn't a formula for disaster I don't know what is. And the idiots start talking secession like its going to scare the rest of us into submission. When the secession talk came on the news up here, a couple of guys near me at the gym starting laughing their butts off. To think TX is the gold star of the winger world. Go frigging TX......SECEDE.......spare us having to take care of you in your dotage!
