I have a friend who is short 900 shares (just a note: he didn't have any problems shorting it over the past week).

We all know that AMZN isn't worth 1.2 Billion in market cap but that really doesn't matter when hype and momemtum rule. Anyone expect AMZN to retest the mid 50's range anytime soon?

My opinion is that an insider will sell and that will kill the momentum and thus send the stock back to the 20's but I've been wrong before.

Bob,

AMZN needs big money if it hopes to play with the leaders like B&N and Borders. IMO they are making the right moves and it may pay off for them down the road. It still doesn't mean it think the stock is worth more than $20 though!

BTW - Where the hell is B&N! They were to announce big internet things this month. You know what happened to EGRP!

PS : YHOO and short squeeze. I had to put up with that too. YHOO insiders are selling 1.5 million shares at this very moment now. I wonder how Vinik's portfolio is doing now?

A certain poster was yelling 'Squeeze' over there at $54. Also was yelling when ONSL was $30. See what those stocks are doing now. A very good predictor of tops. Next time I hear it I'm going to bet the farm on the short side!

:)
