Democracy great... you get to change the front men for the crooks on more regular basis depending on scheme in place.. give people illusion of control.. Look at Egypt.. military in charge before Mubarek... military still in charge..

If the people of the country lack "skin in the game", politically, economically, and spiritually, then it is easy for them to focus their discontent upon those they hold responsible for their situation.

And that's the stuff revolutions are made of.
