There wasn't - but even with this technology it is still years from commercial development. I wonder about the organic layer and how it reacts with both extremes of hot and cold.

Actually, that is not generally my assertion. As of now, it is utterly stupid to be using Solar and for the government to spend taxpayer dollars to FUND it.

I have no objection to basic research on the subject. Particularly, anything in the area of nanosciences, which I have believed (since the early 90s) holds more promise (for bailing our asses out of the sling liberals have put us in) than anything else.
