Thanks Andy. It appears to me the downside risk of buying HDTC is lower than RESP at this point. HDTC can stand on its own due to its ability to attract buyers. The worst case scenario is HDTC has to shed some of its product offerings to get merged. If that happens, I am not sure a merger with Respironics will be as accretive to earning. Safe to say the biggest appeal for the merger is to get the leadership position of the sleep disorder market.
