Yes - I am always hopeful of "breakthroughs".

I still recall a lecture in College from a Chemist who claimed he could grow oil using cacti and enough for the entire country. We were so excited by the idea - but it never panned out economically.

Having a brother with Diabetes since 18 months old - I've heard my share of medical breakthroughs and yet his regime is a shot several times daily - exactly like our grandfather did 50 years ago.

Well deserved in my view...

There is, and it doesn't involve gutting the military budget. And it doesn't involve attacking particular industries which are the target of irrational left wing hate. If you want to get rid of oil incentives, fine. But let's get rid of absurd incentives for other energies that have no hope for viability like solar.
