Try all you want, but it's obvious from the continuing decline of production that the end is in sight....there will always be some oil but not in any significant amounts to run the country.... As regards alternatives, the repubs have been resisting and criticizing all alternatives for at least 30 years.... Currently you can read the objections to hi mileage cars .. No one has ever been afraid to try except the oil company groupies...any form of conservation has been ridiculed....
