We only import 1/10 of our oil from the ME. Just eliminating THAT would vastly change our geopolitics..

We'll get to a future without oil. I can see you in 1890, predicting that a future w/o horse turds in the roadway wasn't in our cards..

I think the left has controlled the green electric debate to their advantage, for too long.

For the left, it's about power. Power that comes from people being dependent upon the government. Whether it's today's socialist democrats, Hitler's socialists, or Lenin, to maintain power, to abuse the wealth of a nation, the people must be controlled.

The petroleum industry is a symbol of freedom, the freedom to go anywhere, anytime, as far as you like. The left needs to have Americans in electric cars, to limit their freedom, to maintain control, and to limit any challenges to their power.

At the root of the left's march to socialism, are lies. Nothing more, nothing less, just as you heard today from Obama himself. His state run media eagerly spread the daily reading from Marx for everyone's consumption.

When you start looking at everything today's democrats are doing, it's all about limiting freedom, just look around.
