<A lot of SIers had cushy jobs at these companies. Their jobs will
vanish along with the stock price erosion.>

The gloom is deep indeed>>> Why? We are in the new information age and need rapid advances in computers and other hi teck stuff. Information satelites ringing the world, 747s, a car that can tell U where the hell U are. A keyboard to connect your 27" TV to the internet. A brave new world. Why not just a market adjustment and off and running again?? I was reading the thing on 1929. Back in the 1920s we had a brave new world, Cars, movies, radio, electricity. Geesss, what else could a guy want?
