I think much depends on what happens with their nuclear reactors. Reports are now one has exploded and some have large radiation leaks. Talk of trying to pump in sea water to cool the piles to prevent meltdowns because the diesel generators and other safety devices are not working.

If the World's third largest economy loses its ability to generate power... probably good news for competing economies but bad news in that they will have to rebuild with coal or LNG if they want to replace that power.... I'm not aware of any deserts in Japan for concentrated solar....

Hmmm just saw a video of an explosion but they say the radiation is contained... your check is in the mail too.,
