If if works, it sounds like a great idea to me :-). However, I still need to accumulate some more shares of UTEK at these bargain prices on tests of recent lows. So I intend to be real quiet in hopes that UTEK will again test that 24-25 area.

Moreover, I believe the theory violates one of the basic fallacies of thinking described in my old college text book on Logic (by Thouless). That fallacy is called "Post hoc, ergo hocter proc" ("After it, because of it") - it is illogical to conclude something happenned because of the event which occurs just afterward. The business news media violates it every day when they dream up reasons why the market went up or down for the day or hour or minute.

Has Brinker put out a sell recommendation on UTEK? I got a private e-mail to that effect, and was told to go check it out on the UTEK thread.

Has the guy changed his tune on UTEK, or is he still as bullish as ever?

Whatever Brinker's take, it does not change my perception of this company as very attractive at the current price. Also, two more surveys released in the last few days indicate the semiconductor equipment sector will continue to improve going into 1998, with a potential blockbuster year in 1999. As you know, the market anticipates so we should see improvement here over the next 12 months IMO, regardless of whatever Uncle Bob says.

Best - Joe
