The stealing was done legally. Check out the Unified Budget
Act of 1974 for the authority to use the SS funds and replace
the money with a bookkeeping entry not only for SS but every
other agency- Transportation, FDIC you name it.

==============================================

"The stealing was done legally."

You'd think that would be an oxymoron, but instead,
it's become the American way.

It's no longer about what's moral, what's ethical, or
what's right. It depends on what your definition
of "is," is. And then we use that definition of legality,
no matter how unethical, how immoral, or how wrong it is,
to rationalize both their criminality and our apathy.

From John Yoo's torture memos, to Hank Paulson's
$800 billion dollar extortion of Congress, to allowing
the TSA to take naked body scans of our children and
stick their hands down our pants, we rationalize their
criminality and our apathy by convincing ourselves it
was all "legal."

Remember those words...

"The stealing was done legally."

...because it's about to become the epitaph on America's gravestone.
