Yeah.. that's a pretty astute analysis of the Libyan situation. With just two brigades of his "Praetorian Guard", authorized to be utterly ruthless and brutal towards any resistance, he can not only stiffen the spine of his conventional army, but also take their time and completely pummel any resistance at their leisure. And unfortunately for any potential insurgents, a completely brutal regime won't have much difficulty in instilling utter fear and "respect" for the regime again. Hawk

TJ, you should stand corrected "crush it, because the West will not intervene" - it should read "Because the US has an inapt president with lack of understanding of world matters, who is aloof and arrogant and thinks of himself way too much, who undermines US vital interest, degrades the US standing within other nations, betrays long time US policy supporters, and shield murderers of US citizens in PANAM flight over Lockerbie. A US president which is barely qualified as a community activist and may be qualified to be a low ranking activist in the Democratic Party. As the situation stands now in Libya and ME, 10 September 11’s events would not have inflicted such long term damage to the US interests and its standing between the nations. With all this rant only the US citizens are to blame that do not have the courage to go to the streets and demand the demise of this administration immediately even after it was crystal clear that this administration sheltered the thieves and swindler of Wall Street who ruined many tens of millions of people and their families world wide. Shame on those that keep quiet and do not do anything to bring a about a true change and better US society truly adhering to the accepted American principles of equality freedom and free speech
