The market is meaningless in stating the
effect on people. I haven't heard a word
about it's effect on manufacturing or
business. Yet the headlines state Japan
to give Banks a big infusion of cash. WTF
why do the banks need money?

At a time when high unemployment still haunts the US, the witch-hunt that accompanies any Chinese firms seeking to invest and create jobs in the US is making the situation worse, denying job opportunities to US citizens and denying win-win opportunities for companies in both countries.

If it adopted a tit-for-tat witch-hunt, China could well block many deals by overseas companies, since quite a few domestic industries, such as the automobile, cooking oil and even upscale cosmetics, are already dominated by foreign players, including US companies.

Using the same logic, the Chinese government could restrict the business of companies such as PayPal, Amazon, Visa, MasterCard and Apple, all of which collaborated with the US government by cutting off their services to WikiLeaks after the release of US diplomatic cables. Who knows if these companies will collude with the US government one day and pose a threat to China's national security?
