Kaddafi is held in power with the support of other demonic rulers - this must be stopped YESTERDAY

Haim, I presume you felt the same way about Saddam Hussein, right?

After all, we had binding UNSC resolutions against Saddam's government, as a result of his invasion of Kuwait.

We have no such unanimity of opinion, or justification (under the UN charter) to take a similar action against Qadaffi, no matter how desirable such an action might be.

Mind you, I would be perfectly fine with his removal. But I want the rest of the world to participate as well so we're not the only ones left "owning the problem" after he's removed.

Hawk

The right thing to do is to impose a no-fly zone in Libya right now. I don't understand the dilly-dallying. Obama and Clinton seem to have their thumbs in their rectums on this.

The rebels may not be our friends now or ever, but Qaddafi's actions are an enormous affront to human rights. Sanctions, etc., have their effect, but they do not save lives the way a no-fly zone will.

If our words mean anything, we ought to impose such a zone right now.

Obama is the most indecisive president we have ever had. What a waste of votes he was - not that I voted for him. Ron Paul got my vote.

Obama is not repeating the mistake of commiting US forces to every flash point on Earth.

The last asshole did that and has us entangled in unending wars with attendant loss of life and treasure.

Amazing how you partisan bozos have inexhaustible issues to criticize, and would be just as vehement whatever he did or didn't do.

Maybe if you had used some of that rightous indignation when sheer stupidity was driving our foreign policy, we wouldn't be quite as underwater as we are today.
