only LNG export facility in No. Am. is in Nikiski (Kenai), Alaska I believe. Ironically, it's shutting shut down because of declining demand from Japan! Maybe they'll reconsider now... Conoco, Marathon to close gas liquefaction plant on Peninsula Published: February 10th, 2011 05:53 PM adn.com The plant's owners, Conoco Phillips and Marathon Oil, said Wednesday that despite being granted a new export license by the federal government, they were unable to renew new supply contracts with LNG customers in Japan.

Hi Jim - Here is a link showing the Word's LNG Liquefaction Plants and Regasification Terminals (1) On-Stream, (2) Under Construction and (3) Planned. globallnginfo.com Check out all the terminals in Japan. I wonder how many are still in operation and if they have excess capacity. Four plants currently under construction for Japan and one more in the planning stages. Chicago Bridge & Iron Company N.V.
