Keeping in mind that I'm the age group that grew up with Roy Rogers etc. I have grown up with about every Daisy BB gun made, then matured into powder weapons.
After James Bond came on the scene I bought a sweet and sexy Baretta 32 semi-auto. It was sweet. 7 round mag perfect for self defense. Then comes Dirty Harry. Bought a Dan Wesson fully ribbed 44 mag with 4" and 8" interchangible barrels. (the 8" barrel was stupid. I was as accurate with the 4" barrel)
Then a Colt Cobra chrome plated 38 Special snubnose that my ex now has.
Pachmyer grips on all but 32 because I couldn't find 'em.
My only remaining weapon is my jewel, Baretta 92 FS with 15 round mags.
Keep it by my bed Condition 3. (1 in chamber) It's double action, so I am about three seconds from causing death to an intruder.
Or hopefully non-mortal damage.
Had to hold 32 and 44 on two people in my life.
Never shot anybody. Just changed their mind.

Actually I find most folks look at that as a limiting statement... but it's exactly one major component in a great manager :O)
