I am not a military expert, but I believe Gates when he says that a no fly zone over Libya is a very expensive operation, that will take a lot of time to set up, and it involves a lot of bombing. Like I said, the US cannot operate as an empire anymore.

Let's not forget that Qaddafi gave up his nuclear program, and Bush normalized relations with him -- he looked positively charming next to Condolessa. Do we know what the rebels will do?

We did not push Mubarak out. His people did, with the help of the army, whose support he lost. All we did is put out a few press releases. Much different than bombing air bases and taking out air defenses. And now the Egyptian army is in charge. Not much different than before really.
