I found out the problem with Java and Communicator and NT. It's not just a problem with Communicator though. The problem is with NT Service Pack 3 and running "true color" graphics mode. I switched to 65k color and it works. Interesting though I din't have any problem with IE4. Since I now have both browsers on NT I will have to do some comparisons.

Derek: I had a similar problem with my installation of Comm 4.03, but on a Win95 machine. The java wouldn't load on certain pages (TheStreet.com, StockMasterPro.com). I hate to admit it, but I then resorted to the IE 3 that came on the OSR2 CD, and the pages loaded fine. I can't be a day without certain Web features, so I then downloaded IE4, accepted all the defaults, and installed. The new browser is OK, and java runs well. Last night, I downloaded Comm 4.04, and now I get an error message about unsupported classes of java but the page loads and behaves itself well nonetheless. I think this java issue needs to be resolved, und pronto!

BTW, the Netscape support site says something about certain Matrox video drivers causing problems on NT4.0 machines using java.
