So good to hear from you Naomi. And sorry for the loss of your bowling buddy and especially your sister. I have only one sister, and she's just a dear friend. A little crazy, and does things I'd never dream of, but a good person none the less. I'd be very unhappy if I didn't have her to vent on once in awhile.

Take care and take it easy. You still have a lot of living to do, and you'll need your strength. Watch those kitties! They'd just as soon steal your lunch as look at you in that cute kitty way. ;)

<<I had Libby neutered, licensed and a chip put in him. He still tries to sneak out the door, but he has started coming back to the front door to get back in so that is acceptable to me. He has settled down some>>

Neutering us has the effect

Thank you Bob Barker

Dear Naomi....NO WONDER you have been on my mind so much! I'm so sorry to hear about your sister's passing, and that of your friend. I can well imagine that both of those events has taken some of the wind from your own sails, and know that with some rest, you'll be back to your usual self. What a beautiful little ceremony that was, from the sounds of your description. And you are right....you have years of memories of you and your sister together, and that will really help you. I have seen the balloons and in fact, participated in one ceremony like that. It is a wonderful and uplifting feeling. Your niece sounds like a wonderful lady...and smart too....how did she know that we all like 'desserts first'....<ggg>

My upper spine surgery of 4 months ago is doing much better in healing than did the first one, but this one is much more painful as far as recovery is concerned. I can do quite a few things as I've always done (except have eyes in the back of my head...(another grin)...but little things like today...several errands, then the big one...going to Costco and pushing a heavy cart around. Did have the sense to ask for help to unload all the things to the car, but hubby can't help unload because of his recent knee surgery, I just did like Nike says "Just do it", but have to tell you that when I was done with the unloading, and putting everything away, I was just pooped.

Have some appointments in the AM, then a friend comes for a visit for a couple of days...She is presenting a Program tomorrow evening at one of the local museums (on some of the families of the Northwest area between 1850-1900 or so) then we'll go to dinner someplace. Have several things on the agenda for Wednesday with her and possibly another friend, then she'll leave early Thursday for the southern part of WA to give another program.

Hubby has had such good success with his replacement knee so far, that he has scheduled to have the other one done April 25....by the time this is over, I'll need a week or two at a resort...too bad the economy is so awful. If it were better, I'd be pushing for that! <gg>

Totally agree with you on our current Admin....it's almost as if the things that are happening are by design. NO one who is at all smart, could so so many things that have made everything go south, on purpose. Very distressing to say the least!

Do more than lurk, Naomi....we love to hear from you and hear what's going on in 'your territory'...And do post more about Lovey Dovey, Pitty Poo, and Libby. Their very names make me smile!

Happy Spring to you and your Hubby!

I think all of us are ready for spring. The events of the world have just been a downer, and yucky weather doesn't help anyone's mood....

As Many Moose wished for you: God's Blessings and Stay Well.

The story of the doves was lovely. I am very sorry about your sister.

Naomi, that was so touching it made me cry. You are such a lovely person and I do think that God sent all of us to the GITS for a reason. Some of us may not have a lot of time to spend here, or the health to keep up, but we all know that everyone is lurking and if they felt up to it, would post a loving note to everyone like yours.
