My family loves our streetcar. We can walk to it, and then ride to downtown. For various reasons it is so much more pleasant than the bus. Somehow it's cool, while the bus is exactly the opposite. My teenage kids love it. Actually, I'm not sure why its so much better than the bus but I'd rather walk than take the bus, depending on the weather. Northwest Portland. Here's a commercial property I'm invested in, right on the line.... Nice. The bldg isn't far from downtown. Last time, I was in Portland I was amazed at all the new development around the train station. I always prefer streetcars or light rail. They seem to do less lurching than buses. I tend to get seasick on buses.
