We have sprint for 5 of us, with unlimited texting, and unlimited calls for 125. We have Netflix for 16.45, and Blockbuster (unlimited rentals) for something like 20. We have a landline, internet and cable bundle, from Comcast, that costs us 100.00.

We take a lot of magazines I get on sale at Amazon for 5 bucks a year- right now we have Vogue, Wired, Rolling Stone, Nintendo Power, Dwell, Architectural Digest, Redbook, Harper's Bazaar, Every Day with Rachel Ray, Marie Clare, Sunset, Better Homes and Gardens, and Popular Science. Whew. That's 65 dollars.

That's us- all five of us, including our daughter at college (to whom Vogue and Rolling Stone go.) My daughter at college just uses a cell all the time- one of the 5 we pay for in our Sprint bundle.

All I get where I live is either satellite or land line. Use Direct TV, $85/month, and a more or less local dial-up ISP for $36/month.
Dropped the newspaper years ago. Too much clutter for too little info.
Can get cell phone service, but hope to be the last person in the country without one. Don't want to be a rat on an electronic leash. Verizon is $26/mo, and I use Working Assetsd for long distance.

I'm solar; electricity costs me $4.25/ month to be on the grid. If I produce more in a year than I use, I get paid 8 cents/KWH. March ain't doing good, but it didn't rain in Feb, and I used 3 KWH for the entire month...net.
