my understanding, and i may have it backwards, but this is a new opening of someone selling puts, but is actually hoping for the price to rise above 25 so they expire worthless. citibank n.a guarantees the delivery of the instrument should the option be exercised for the stock.

this may also occurred because of asnd's rapidly declining stock price interest has moved and a new positions need to be established near its current low, a low that was not seen originally.

someone feels positive enough to open this position, but ofcourse others feel good enough to buy, this could even be to lock in profits. i do not believe you can say/tell positive or negative, since no shares are actually bought, unless options are exercised.

time to go back and open the books.
