"Now tell me why an increasing scarcity of oil, resulting in the oil we have becoming more valuable, means we should use it."

Did I say that? My point is this and I'm surprised so many bright people can't understand the production curve....it says we are running out of oil domestically and will be on empty by about 2030 or so......there will always be some oil around but that curve will never turn up in any significant way. Big Oil is not drilling in water 7000 ft deep or above the Arctic Circle cause we have so much oil left.... I don't care what price you put on a barrel...it's not going to get any better. If we want it to last longer there are only two ways to do it....alternative energy and conservation... Yeah, I know conservation is the not the Libertarian way, just the Feds taking away more freedoms again...
