Saw "Lincoln Lawyer" on DVD last night - best I can say is not bad, but Matt McC just didn't strike me as the right actor for the role. He is supposed to be the same kind of smug, crazed, workaholic, alcoholic narcissist that the Jimmy McNulty character portrated in "The Wire" so brilliantly but McC is too much of a pretty boy to carry it off. His anguish under pressure expression just looked kind of lost and dull to me.

A young Jim Belushi could have carried it off better. And the review you posted reached way too far comparing this movie to "The Verdict" which remains a classic for both the acting and the direction.

I gave LL three stars - movies.netflix.com
