I think by fighting many mean just taking the arguments to the right wing. Don't always be on the defensive. Be on the offensive. Don't let the right wing define the issues.

FDR and Teddy Roosevelt were open and defiant and took the fight to the right wing. FDR even tried to pack the court with liberals by increasing the number who sit on it.

Many of us see this fight with the right wing to be the same fight FDR and TR had; or the fight against Macarthyism.

What we are asking Obama to do is get in their face like FDR and TR did. E.g. put up people like Warren for director of the financial oversight committee and let the right wing knock her down, so people can see what they are about.

Keep putting solid programs out there. If Obama had pushed for the public option the people would have been behind him. Same with many other programs Obama shys away from.

Rachel Maddow, CENC, O'Donnell and Ed shultz point this out day after day.
