It is stupid. But then if you look at the uprising, it may have been a few tribes who were planning a violent overthrow, unlike the Egyptian or Tunisia ones where they were peaceful. The dictators in Tunesia and Egypt abdicated. Gaddafi did not. The opposition had no choice but to fight. And its going to be a bloodbath when Gaddafi gets to Benghazi.
