It's a philosophy of "I'll take all I can get for myself..." Which is the philosophy Tim, and Libertarianism supports wholeheartedly! It's the BASIS of Libertarianism! That is a false statement. Libertarianism is against coercion, not helping others out. As for natural resources, the more you put them on a free market basis, the more likely you are to have them used appropriately. Secure property rights give people an incentive to preserve their property. Avoiding subsidies avoids the incentive for people to treat resources as less valuable then they really are.
