The same process that destroyed 95% of all life on earth during the permian age is taking place i.e. boiling the planet:

During the Permain age many scients think CO2 rose 5 degrees from volcanos which then melted methane hydrates which are 25 more of a greenhouse gas and raised the temperature another 5 degrees.

But sea water is already rising so much, some US cities are floding. google Norfolk Virgina.
