The solution to the "nuclear" problem has been available all along. Not the time to dump nukes. Time to develop reactors that aren't death engines. A fuel that wasn't chosen because it didn't produce bomb making ingredients, which have/had obvious political advantages. Thorium is the answer, and now is the time.
