wolf, gtw and rp think alike. their job isn't to make your life better. it is your job to live to their "standards." gtw is dead on arrival. it is only a matter of time.

we may see over $30 on more time after dell reports. then all h*ll will break loose next q. gtw CAN'T COMPETE. ibm's machine means everyone will have to add to their sub $1k box. not good for cpq or dell, either...

Boys , my scarcasm is called for.

It's you guys that need to lighten up on gtw.

More over acheiving in the criticism department.

Save your efforts you guys don't intimidate me.

BTW I know some malcontents that never are happy with any products they buy. Does that shoe fit.

If I claimed to know squat about computers i 'd be inclined to keep
my opinions on computers more to myself.

In point of fact, unless you know what you are doing, the memory just doesn't pop in or out. It takes some figuring out . And that's why I bought the memory from GTW in the first place.

The only thing you have to figure out is where you left your manuals when you got the PC. Every PC comes with instructions on adding more memory.

As far as the increased price of the memory, Gateway had to pay for your phone calls, successful or not. If you really need to have your hand held, you could have waited till you got through, and would have gotten your help.

I think as soon as you buy your next PC, you will find out that your experience with Gateway was not as bad as you had imagined. They are no saints, but certainly no worse then their competitors.

You are allowing a temporary market downturn, and a missed quarter color you view of GTW. They wouldn't be here today without a little marketing saavy, and they are not sitting still. Destination systems, Country Stores, TV advertising. They're doing their thing.

Ted Waitt certainly doesn't want to lose his fortune, and I think hanging in, that ponytail man won't disappoint.

You may not have made a bad decision. Unlike the popular perception, memory is NOT memory. Many machines require specific wiring in the memory boards in order to work. The industry is moving away from standardization.
