As am about to 70 you realize evermore what a masterpiece this song is--so if you see an elderly you al just say "Hello In There" One reason i se this country going to hell, is the younger generation is good deal more selfish than my generation. i grew up raised to say "Hello in There", raised to KNOW we all are heading there, old age, unless we die young.
When my Mother was 89.75 and just a week before her death, was looking into a mirror, me by her side and she looked at her shriveled ancient visage, and shook her finger at the mirror. "You are NOT me, I am inside, and inside i am young and i am wild and i wanting to dance. What i see here is a lie. You are NOT me. The child in me never went away, it's body just got old' (My mom happened to be a great dancer from te the Charleston to The Rumbe etc.--she was like having "Auntie Mame" as a your mother:)
"Hello In There"
So all people not old yet remember to say "Hello in There":)
