re BYD - I agree with Jurgis here - BYD is not Microft. For once, Batteries are a commodity business, there is no branding or stickiness to speak of and only price and performance counts. They have proven to be OK (with decent but biot great profit margins) in the battery business. Their cars look like crap.

If anything the battery business should be compared to the the Solar cell business, where you'll find a lot of dead bodies already.

FWIW, if MSFT would live solely by price and performance, they would be mostly out of business :-). They make money because their product is sticky. And I don't even think that MSFT are that bad....
