Zeev, with Gold dropping today on PPI(?), potential Central
Bank selling and deflation concerns, keep and eye on CBOT
grains and other commodities. We could possibly be in for another round of price deflation. I for one will not be unhedged this weekend, will remain hedged at least until AMAT conference call Nov. 20, and will not participate in any equity "rally" by committing funds to stocks. (Keep in mind that weekends are very convenient for
sheltering assets through bankruptcy declarations.<g>)

I saw your post on the AMAT thread and agree that caution is
warranted between now and February. I would extend that period through April releases of Q1 earnings. After all, 5% to 7% cash certainty is better than 25% down any day. Unlike so many SI posters concerned with "picking the bottom", opportunity losses of foregone upside do not bother me. IMHO the downside risk remains substantial at this time.
Why some bulls are still looking for DJIA 8000 in the face of earnings
estimate reductions is beyond my understanding.

Good investing all.
