I have respect for Kucinich's integrity. He really sticks to his beliefs regardless of the party of the Pres.

I seriously question this geriatric bimbo attempting foreign policy missions. She will do anything for a free airplane ride!

(Pelosi did not participate in Saturday’s call; she is in Afghanistan to meet with U.S. military and diplomatic officials.)

Pelosi in Afghanistan

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and a congressional delegation held talks with Afghan President Hamid Karzai Saturday, after a meeting with U.S. troops and the top U.S. military commander in the country.
A statement from Pelosi's office said the delegation was briefed by Gen. Stanley McChrystal and U.S. Ambassador Karl Eikenberry. The talks with Karzai focused on the political and security situation in Afghanistan, the statement said.

In addition to Pelosi, the other members of the delegation are: Susan Davis of California, Chair of the Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel; Madeleine Bordallo of Guam, Member of the Armed Services Committee; Niki Tsongas of Massachusetts, Member of the Armed Services Committee; and Donna Edwards of Maryland, Member of the Science and Technology Committee.

At a news conference Thursday, Pelosi mentioned that she would be spending Mother's Day – which is Sunday – with U.S. troops.

"We are grateful for the service of our brave men and women in Afghanistan, for their commitment to America's security, and their unwavering dedication to their mission," Pelosi said, according to the statement.

What is this? The Dem Woman's Tour? Bet they had great digs somewhere. Who controls this type of spending?

I hate to have to sympathize with liberal Democrats but they have a point. The cruise missiles we sent into Libya weren't an emergency response to an attack on the US or our armed forces. There has been no consultation with Congress that I've heard of. Firing missiles into another country is an explicit use of our armed forces in hostilities. I can't see how anyone can say Obama isn't in violation of the War Powers Act.

Bush DID get Congressional approval before both Afghanistan and Iraq. Why didn't Obama before Libya?

Even Clinton's firing of missiles into Afghanistan and the Sudan was a response to an attack on US embassies in Africa by Al Qaeda.

---------------------------------

......
United States Code (50 U.S.C. 1541-1548), the War Powers Act, specifically states that the president may undertake the use of military force only in the case of "... a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces." It further states that the President must consult with Congress, "...in every possible instance shall consult with Congress before introducing United States Armed Forces into hostilities ..."

Membership in the United Nations does not grant the Security Council the authority to order U.S. forces into action, and being the President does not permit Obama to violate the Constitution and the Law, to commit an act of war without the authorization of the People, through their Congress.

Three women convinced a progressive democrat president to engage in an unprovoked attack on another country.

How many illusions were burst when the bombs started exploding.

The other thing that occurs to me is this probably means Hillary really ISN'T going to run for president next time. I think by pushing us into another war she just burned that bridge with the people who have a say in who the democrat candidate will be.

I just love how selective progressives are about our Constitution. Avid supporters in times of war, (must check the boxes), but if you'd of asked any of these about the constitutionality of Obamacare their responses would echo of Pelosi, "what, are you joking?".....before being given the short riff..,.,.,.
