Hey Don, don't take it personally, but I'm long in UTEK. I don't really care what Brinker says and really have not followed him - BUT if he has changed his position I'd like to know his reasons in case he has a new opinion following the Asia crisis. I'll make the call myself whether UTEK is a buy or sell (it's a buy, by the way, IMO). Some analysts in the technology sector like to jerk the market around with quick changes in recommendations - that's the complaint some lodge with Merrill's expert on the semi industry - and for all I know Brinker runs with the same crowd. I can't find whatever he said because Jill apparently has pulled it. And yes, while the e-mail apparently was a prank, it is always worth inquiring just in case. No telling, Brinker may have had lunch with the infamous Mr. Ping and downgraded -gg- Again, no offense meant.
