Smart diplomacy or cluster****?

The Arab League says it was supposed to be only a no-fly zone and they don't like hitting targets on the ground. Without Arab League support, the UNSC wouldn't have passed the resolution to do whatever it is we're doing.

A French government spokesman has said it's an operation to unseat Q'Daffy and his regime.

US officials (Adm Mullins) says the operation is "narrowly focused on protecting civilians and aiding humanitarian efforts. The survival of Q'Daffy and his regime is "certainly potentially one outcome" ..... “The goals are limited. It’s not about seeing him go. It’s about supporting the United Nations resolution which talked about eliminating his ability to kill his own people.”

The Duck of Death's compound has been hit but that's not necessarily because anyone was intentionally trying to kill him by accident - says the BBC. US military spokesman said the coalition were not targeting Col. Gaddafi or his residence.

Do you agree with Boehner that the President should explain to the American people what it is we're doing?

PS: Odyssey Dawn - sounds like a stripper's name.

PPS: Why aren't we protecting civilians in Yemen, Bahrain, and elsewhere? Total doesn't have any oil leases there?

PPPS: In July 2007 Barack Obama made a stunning admission during a campaign stop. The democratic hopeful suggested that genocide of innocent civilians was a better option than continuing our military campaign in Iraq.
Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama said Thursday the United States cannot use its military to solve humanitarian problems and that preventing a potential genocide in Iraq isn’t a good enough reason to keep U.S. forces there.

There is a huge difference between firing a few missiles and committing to a ground war...when he gets to that point I head for the exits...

So, basically, you're okay with STARTING wars so long as they aren't complicated or messy, and as soon as they GET complicated or messy, you're ready to haul ass? Does that about summarize your position?
