"She's a chem E senior (4.0) so probably learns a little faster" lol - I am a senior who was a Chem E without a 4 point. My bet would be she simply never applied the standards of her own life to the Obama data. Any Chem E worth their salt knows math. There is no math in the spiel of Obama that adds up. Ask her to do the math!

She's at a relatively conservative engineering school. She's skeptical about AGW, and wants to see data. She's a very good critical thinker. She's just young and idealistic and inexperienced. She was putty in the hands of an idealistic snake oil salesman. She's between a rock and a hard place with her idealism and humanitarianism on the one hand, and analytical abilities on the other. We'll see what she says going forward. I have to watch carefully what I say around her. "I tried to tell you," doesn't go over too well, LOL.
