It its reasonably likely that unlike Chernobyl not a single death will be conclusively linked to this nuclear incident, which wouldn't mean it didn't kill anyone (although that's possible too), only that if it does the actual death will come after a long time and be hard to pin to this incident. Its essentially certain that the earthquake/tsunami related deaths that are not nuclear related with be much larger than the early deaths from radiation release.

Its also pretty certain that this incident will harm the prospects of nuclear power going forward (in a way that I feel isn't really deserved)

Edit - I accidentally posted that in reply to the wrong post, it was supposed to be a reply to Message 27257085

I posted an article someone else wrote and it was presented as though I wrote it; and then when I point out I did not write it, you accuse me of playing games. Boy is that twisted logic.

The person saying I posted something I did not post, they were the one playing games.

PS and someone might argue having radiation levels in Tokyo's water system (30 million people) so high enfants cannot drink it, might be considered worse than chernobyl!

<<And I do not believe I posted the above

You did post it.

At its best, this radiation might be limited to north Japan, where it could be watered down and then fade into being a nuclear wrecking ground like Chernobyl.>>
