What the hell are you talking about...???

The United Nations Security Council voted and decided that under UN Resolution 1973 that Military action via a Coalition of Countries was warranted & authorized to stop the slaughter of Libyan civilians by their dictator ruler Muammar Gaddafi....

Give it up on your hatred of America and all things American....its ruining your credibility or whats left of it....

ElM, as I explained before the conquest of Iraq, there weren't WMDs of any consequence. But Gaddafi was definitely doing what he was accused of and was planning a lot more. Which is not to say that was army gangs have traditionally done.

In WWII whole cities were laid to waste to suppress the populations. So it's not as though Gaddafi was acting out of the norm. He even offered to let them surrender which was not how conquests traditionally end. Traditionally, opposing males are killed and the females and lands taken as tribal property. Islamic rule is to let the conquered surrender to their new master.

Unfortunately for him, we Crusaders have had enough of him. The UN considered the situation and decided he should be stopped. He has been stopped. Which is not to say the UN has any particular legitimacy, though it's better than nothing in some ways. Helen Clark bludging off it is not ideal but that's politicians for you.

Look at the list of member states - un.org A pack of thugs for the most part, with no democratic or VVV traditions. So when they vote to eliminate Israel and Jews, it's like a pack of animals. We should view their activities and thinking suspiciously.
