Gold flirting with $300, this must be good news for your "REAL" business. Still with Christmas comming up, I glanced at some cases at a couple of jewlers at the mall the other day and I still got sticker shock. David, Actually, it is not. Most jewelers and manufacturers have already bought product for the holiday season. The idea in retail is to buy low and sell high. Sound familiar<G> Looks like sell low buy high so volume will be there but margins will be squeezed. Mall stores are typically chains operations. Ten stores or more. Their gross margin is very high. One of my stores is in a mall but it is a very small mall so no other jewelers. Glenn

Wouldn't that result in a devaluation of his inventory? It't might stimulate his customer traffic, but it probably doesn't help the balance sheet, unless his inventory is consigned.
